Trainee Conveyancing Legal Secretary
Are you a recent Law graduate looking for your first opportunity to build a career within the legal sector?
I’m currently recruiting for a Trainee Legal Secretary to join a growing Conveyancing team within a large, well-established law firm.
What’s on offer?
- £23,520 starting salary
- Two generous discretionary bonuses each year
- 20 days’ holiday + bank holidays
- Additional Christmas shutdown
- £30 monthly wellbeing payment
- Benenden Healthcare membership
- Life cover at 3x salary
- Contributory pension
- Firm-sponsored professional training
- Regular staff social events
- Ongoing training and development
- Genuine opportunities for internal progression
- Holiday allowance increasing with service
This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their legal career. A Law degree would be ideal, and they’re very happy to consider fresh graduates. Previous legal experience isn’t essential, but they would like someone who has had some previous employment experience, ideally within an office environment.
Experience within administration, reception or onboarding would be particularly useful, alongside good typing skills and an interest in Conveyancing or Property.
The role will involve audio typing and dictation, telephone calls, correspondence, filing, arranging appointments, data input, legal searches and using the firm’s case management system.
Importantly, this position is aimed at someone looking to develop along the Legal Secretary route, so it would not be suitable for someone who has already completed the SQE or is currently planning to undertake it.
You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive firm with 160+ employees, where there are genuine examples of people progressing internally from Legal Secretary positions into more senior roles.
