About the Opportunity

An established accountancy practice in Sevenoaks is seeking an experienced Accounts & Tax Senior Manager to take a leading role in overseeing its accounts and tax functions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong individual who enjoys managing people, building client relationships and helping a practice develop.

The successful candidate will have the autonomy to take ownership of their responsibilities, support the development of the team and play an important part in driving the firm forwards.

The Role

As Accounts & Tax Senior Manager, the successful candidate will combine team leadership, client management and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor and develop a team of accounts and bookkeeping professionals
• Oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts and tax returns. 
• Prepare complex accounts and tax computations requiring senior-level technical expertise. 
• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues. 
• Manage client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact. 
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and within deadlines. 
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and working practices. 
• Contribute ideas and initiatives to support the firm’s continued development.  

Essential Skills

• Significant experience within an accountancy practice, ideally at Manager or Senior Manager level. 
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation.
• Proven experience supervising, training and developing staff. 
• Confidence reviewing work and handling complex assignments independently. 
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills. 
• Strong IT skills and the ability to use accountancy software effectively.  
• A proactive, organised and commercially aware approach.
