Finance Manager

Location: Royal Tunbridge Wells (Town Centre)
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Hybrid Working: 1 day per week from home following successful completion of probation.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a successful and growing business based in beautiful, modern offices in the heart of Tunbridge Wells.

This is a varied, hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the finance function while also supporting the wider business with a small amount of HR administration.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day bookkeeping.
  • Processing payroll payments.
  • Multi-currency bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing financial reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Supporting payroll administration.
  • Preparing employment contracts and assisting with HR administration.
  • Working closely with the leadership team to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.

What we are looking for The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Bookkeeper or similar finance role.
  • AAT qualification or qualified by experience.
  • Experience using QuickBooks, Xero, or a similar accounting package.
  • Strong bookkeeping and reconciliation experience, including multi-currency accounts.
  • Payroll processing experience.
  • Some exposure to HR administration, including preparing employment contracts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
