Are you an experienced Legal Secretary who enjoys working somewhere you’re genuinely known, valued and part of the team?
I’m working with a small, established and incredibly friendly law firm near Maidstone and Tonbridge who are looking for a Legal Secretary to support two fee earners within their Family department.
What really stands out about this opportunity is the team and stability. There are only six people in the firm, everyone works closely together and everyone helps each other out. In fact, this opportunity has only become available because the current person is leaving after an impressive nine years with the firm!

What will you be doing? You’ll provide hands-on secretarial and administrative support, including:

• Opening and closing files
• Carrying out client ID checks
• Preparing and completing legal forms
• Creating and maintaining bundles
• Liaising with clients
• Assisting with instructions to Counsel
• General Legal Secretary duties
• Helping the wider team when needed

What are they looking for? You’ll need previous Legal Secretary experience, but you don’t necessarily need to come directly from Family Law.
They’re looking for someone organised, personable, flexible and happy to muck in. Because this is a smaller firm, finding someone who enjoys being part of a close team is just as important as ticking every box on a CV.
This is a fully office-based position and could be a fantastic move for someone around Maidstone, Tonbridge or the surrounding areas looking for a stable, long-term Legal Secretary role.
