About the role Based from either the Sevenoaks or London office, you’ll work closely with the Finance team and report to an Associate Director. This is a varied position offering exposure to all aspects of the finance function across three entities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Month-end journals
- Supporting month-end processes and financial reporting
- Sales and purchase ledger
- Credit control
- Processing mileage and expenses
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Petty cash and company credit card management
- VAT returns
- Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
What we are looking for The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a similar finance or accounts role
- Strong purchase ledger and accounts payable experience
- Proven credit control experience with a track record of reducing debtor days
- Excellent bookkeeping and double-entry knowledge
- Good understanding of balance sheet reconciliations
- Experience preparing and posting journals
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience using QuickBooks
- AAT Level 3 qualified or ACCA part-qualified (minimum)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with a proactive approach
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- A positive attitude with a genuine desire to continue developing professionally
- Ability to work from the office four days per week (Sevenoaks or London)
