The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position offering exposure across VAT, Making Tax Digital and year-end accounts.
The Accounts Assistant will work directly with clients, helping them meet their accounting obligations while also providing practical guidance and training around MTD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Working hands-on with Making Tax Digital (MTD)
  • Supporting and training clients on MTD requirements and processes
  • Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
  • Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts
  • Supporting colleagues across a range of general accountancy work
  • Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

Essential Skills The successful candidate will ideally have:
